USING YOUR
FERTILITY BODY TYPE

YOUR GAME PLAN DESIGN TO GET PREGNANT MANUAL

Are you confused why you're being told "everything looks good" or "everything looks normal" after months or years of trying to get pregnant with no success?

Every time you go to the doctor hoping to get some answers as to why you're not getting pregnant all you get is....

Man shrugging shoulders-low.gif

After you've answered a gajillion questions, ran all the tests, taken clomid which only got you sick (not pregnant), been injected with some unknown liquid to see if there are any tube blockages, still...no pregnancy, no baby.

Now you're mad because not only are you still not pregnant but now they're sending you medical bills for procedures that didn't even work.

Gab Union walking off mad-low.gif

And now you also find yourself in a cloud of frustration and confusion because after you've spent money and time following your doctor's orders both you and your doctor have no clear answers as to why nothing you've tried has worked.

But with no clear answers you can't make a decision of your next steps, so you do nothing while you wonder what other solutions are out there.

In the meantime you're getting older as the days roll on by and worry constantly about your fertility struggles.  And maybe you've concluded that the reason you haven't gotten pregnant is because it's just not God's timing, which sets you up to fail.

But you feel deep down in your bones you can have a baby so you somehow motivate yourself to start trying again but this time you want a more natural approach without the drugs and shots.

Before you get back on your fertility journey here is the #1 problem that is widespread and setting up most women to fail:

Spending money and time on the wrong thing

Most women trying to get pregnant don't spend their time, energy and money on the real problem of their infertility. They spend most of their precious resources on rounds of expensive drugs and painful shots that often don't work (or even make matters worse) because these treatments 1) do not address the root cause of their 'infertility' and 2) do not focus on helping women improve their health.

But you MUST have a strategic game plan that improves your health for a healthy pregnancy. You need a strategy that reverses fertility aging by identifying and addressing the root causes of your infertility

Your game plan needs to focus on these 4 step-by-step actions:

Step 1: Find the Root Cause.

This is the most important step because it provides the CLARITY that you need to know what best steps to take to achieve weight loss and your dream of being a mom.

Step 2: Let go of limiting lifestyle habits.

This is an essential step in making the small changes that your body requires to feel your best, look your best and function at your best before having your baby.

Step 3: Overcome reproductive aging.

This is a fundamental step in slowing down the biological clock and rebalancing major fertility organ systems that are often nearly shut down by the chronic stress response - causing fertility challenges like irregular periods, early menopause, PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, obesity, low AMH and unexplained infertility.

Step 4: Welcome your SuperFertile body.

This is a transition step into the baby-making phase allowing you to finally feel at peace knowing that you created the best odds to get pregnant.

This 4-step process is the FLOW method that I use in my clinic to help women get healthier to prepare their body for pregnancy.

It is a proven method that has helped women lose weight easily and regain their hourglass feminine physique, women going into early menopause drastically improve their cycles, pregnant women at risk of miscarriage stay pregnant and give birth, women who have miscarried have their rainbow baby, women who have had a failed IVF cycle achieve success in their second IVF cycle and women who have never been pregnant before get pregnant within 6 months of implementing this strategy.

And this is just a sneak peak of the successes this strategy has helped women achieve.

The Fertility Body Type Manual gives you options and helps you design a strategic, personalized game plan that follows the FLOW method.

It is time to stop relying on others to understand our fertility and take charge of studying and comprehending our own bodies. There is no one who knows you better than yourself. Feel like waiting to take the next best step? Well, Sis, here's what you need to know to make a smart decision.

 WHY WAITING IS THE PROBLEM

As women we have been conditioned to WAIT. Wait for our hero. Wait for that man to complete us. Wait for God to give us our husband.

And then when women finally go to their doctor for help getting pregnant, they are told to WAIT and try for 6-12 months before getting the help they need.

Meanwhile, time is slowly slipping away and the biological clock is quickly ticking away.

Menstrual Cycle Clock.gif

A 2013 study in the journal Human Reproduction showed that most people (68%) get pregnant within 3 months of trying.

This study revealed that the odds of getting pregnant get lower and lower each month after the 3rd month of trying. Less than 1 out of 4 women will get pregnant between month 4 and month 12. And the odds continue to decrease beyond 12 months

It shows that the strongest odds of getting pregnant are by the 3rd month of trying.

So that means the medical recommendation to seek help after 6 or 12 months of trying is not grounded in scientific data.

I know, very frustrating.

Frustrated gif-low.gif

A more accurate science-based recommendation based on this study should be to seek help after 3 months of not getting pregnant.

So if you’ve been trying to get pregnant for more than 3 months, I want to let you in on an important rule of thumb.

It’s called the 4-month Rule for Making Your Baby.

The 1st part of this rule is that if 4 months of trying for a baby go by and you’re still not pregnant, stop.

Don’t keep doing the same thing. The research clearly shows that it likely won’t lead to a different result.

This means that at month 4, it’s time to pause, assess, adjust and seek support.

The 2nd part of the 4 month rule is to prepare your body for pregnancy for 120 days.

Preparing your body for 4 months using a personalized game plan will increase your odds of getting pregnant and having your baby.

When I was a nursing student, I was repeatedly confronted with the stark reality that black women faced higher risks of certain diseases compared to their white counterparts. The statistics would be casually mentioned in lectures, leaving me shocked and wanting more answers. But the explanations were always glossed over, leaving me with a burning desire to dig deeper into the unique challenges faced by black women. Little did I know that this curiosity would lead me to uncover the hidden truths behind the myth of "Black don't crack" and its impact on fertility.

Unveiling the Reality

As I delved into my specialization in fertility, I couldn't help but question if black women faced additional hurdles when trying to conceive. To no one's surprise, the research indicated that among the 7.3 million women in the US who experience infertility, 11.5% of that population were black women, while only 7% were white women. These numbers shed light on the disparities we face, prompting me to further explore the intricacies of black women's reproductive health.

The Eye-Opening Conversation

During my research journey, a former co-worker reached out to me after seeing my fertility-related content on Instagram. She wanted me to speak about black maternal mortality on her show, as she and her friends grappled with the fear of dying during childbirth. Reluctant at first, I eventually agreed. Little did I know that this decision would lead me to unravel the truth behind the statistics that haunted me during my medical school lectures.

Unmasking the Crisis

The chilling statistics I encountered were staggering: Black mothers in the US die at 3-4 times the rate of white mothers, presenting one of the widest racial disparities in women's health. These numbers translate to a 22% higher likelihood of dying from heart disease and a 71% higher likelihood of dying from cervical cancer compared to white women. Shockingly, black women are 243% more likely to die from pregnancy or childbirth-related causes. The realization that black maternal death rates constitute a public health crisis struck me with profound grief.

Understanding the Root Cause

Days later, I stumbled upon the groundbreaking work of researchers who uncovered racism as the primary driver behind black maternal mortality rates. While this knowledge did little to ease my grief, it shed light on a critical truth: the problem did not lie within black women themselves, but within the systemic injustices they faced. It became clear that our environment profoundly impacts our health, and I embarked on a journey to understand how racism affects the well-being of black women.

Connecting the Dots

During one of Dr. Jenny Douglas's lectures, a prominent researcher focusing on black women's health, she opened with a powerful statement: "Black don't crack is a myth. It does crack, and it's cracking." Dr. Douglas explained that black women experience physiological aging earlier, meaning that a 30-year-old black woman may be biologically equivalent to a 35-year-old. As she contextualized the lives of black women, everything began to align.

The Intersection of Responsibilities

Black women often bear multiple responsibilities, including full-time work, caring for their families, and enduring workplace harassment and bullying. These experiences take a toll on our psychological well-being. As I listened to Dr. Douglas, I couldn't help but realize that my fertility patients embodied the very women she described. Many of them juggled multiple jobs, provided financial support to their families, and pursued education—all while seeking to conceive. I saw myself mirrored in their stories.

A Call to Action

Recognizing that societal systems could erode our health, I became passionate about restoring our well-being proactively. If we wanted to effect change, we needed to empower black women to slow down and reverse this accelerated aging process by taking control of their mind, spirit, emotions, stress, diet, and lifestyle. These factors have profound positive effects on reproductive health, which inspired me to dedicate myself to supporting black women in cultivating good health and resilience.

I am Dr. Kertia Duga, a board-certified naturopathic doctor and the proud creator of She Does Medicine: Natural & Integrative Fertility. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare, my passion lies in fertility because it forms the foundation of women's health. By helping women improve their fertility before they conceive, we significantly reduce the risk of complications during pregnancy and childbirth.

Together, we can shatter the myths, address the unique challenges faced by black women on their fertility journey, and reclaim our health. Let's pave the way for a future where every black woman can embrace her power, rewrite her narrative, and create the family she dreams of, all while challenging the societal structures that have held us back for far too long.

Join me in this transformative journey of resilience, self-care, and empowerment. Together, we can redefine our narratives and rewrite the script of black women's fertility.

With love and determination,

Dr. Kertia Duga
