Fertility Tip: The Implantation Window

After fertilization there is a short window of time in which the egg has to implant itself into the uterine lining. The fertilized egg embarks on a 7 day journey from the Fallopian tube to the uterus. Once there, it sows itself into the womb.

There is about a 2 day window for this process. After which, the nest begins to break down if the egg doesn't sow itself into the uterus.

This time sensitive window is where early miscarriage can occur.

If the length of a woman's menstrual cycle is short (less than 24 days) it suggests a tight implantation window which ultimately increases the chance of an early miscarriage.

Think of it like this, a tight implantation window is like trying to catch a flight on Spirit airlines, you could do all the things you're suppose to do and still miss the flight!

Don't take Spirit on your fertility journey.

One way to change your flight and extend your implantation window is to drink herbal teas that support progesterone. I drink Peony + Vitex herbal tea throughout my menstrual cycle to keep my uterine lining intact as long as possible.

Stay in the flow.
